Outfit: Tea Ready

Overalls: UO, Top: Audrey 3+1, Necklace: Gifted, Shoes: Jeffrey Campbell

I got to see one of my best friends for the first time in months today because she returned from India! We decided to discuss her trip over tea at the local international tea shop (sitting Indian-style!) where we enjoyed sweetened and chilled tea as well as a delicious hummus plate. However, I am absolutely in love with the Trudeau by Jeffrey Campbell and the last thing I wanted to do was to take them off for tea! Following the tasty treats, we went shopping at my work where I got possibly the most beautiful white dress ever made by Dolce Vita, sure to be in an upcoming outfit post!

Collection: Alexander Wang Resort 2012

(Photos via Vogue website)

Alexander Wang draws inspiration from the 2012 Summer Olympic uniforms in his 2012 Resort collection. While he isn't designing true uniforms, the color blocking, running shorts, tennis whites, windbreakers, and even winter's bathing suits make their way into Wang's summer style this year. Loving the bright whites, mesh overlays, and sweat pant-style trousers. Who knew sport-wear could be so street-wear?

Get the Look: Jessica Alba's Floral Pants

(Source: fashionbombdaily)

Jessica Alba always looks classic and put together and with floral pants an important trend to watch this season, I assumed that it would be interesting to try for Jessica Alba's look in these beautiful skinnies.

4. Nola Braid Heels - $90.00

Going a little more pastel with less impaction pops of color may be the easier route for most to accomplish this look while not quite standing out in their hometown as much as Jessica would. When in doubt, I always find myself looking for ASOS or Zara-brand items which bring trends to an affordable price point. With clothes in mostly reasonable price points (compared with the thousands we can be sure that jacket alone cost) the look is definitely doable for the masses.

Monday Off: Easy UO Spring

(Silence & Noise Blouse, BDG Shorts, Cooperative Lofers)

I truly only had a week and a half of summer vacation this year; today my summer classes start and that split-second of break ends. As my last work-free afternoon, I worked out (and saw a boy doing extremely dangerous training), wrote a blog for work, picked up clothes for another blog post, and wrote this blog... so maybe my life is never quite work-free, but I did go out to a great Vietnamese restaurant with my boyfriend. I've definitely gotten to a point where my life truly never is worry-free, but if writing and blogging are what I want to do for a living so I need to embrace them now more than ever.

I hope you all have a great week like I'm planning to!

Collection: Missoni Resort 2012

While Missoni embraced the nineties grunge for fall, the brand shifted to the shifts and ease of the sixties and seventies, alongside the elegance of the twenties. Never being shy to combine fabrics such as wool and silk, this collection is no surprise to Missoni lovers - representing classically the brand's elements of a quirky-chic style. While Margherita Missoni says the final violet gown was her favorite piece of the collection, I have to say that the seventies and mod inspired shifts leave me yearning for more, not to mention a shopping trip!
