Army Jackets for Fall

I never thought army-wear and camo would be an adorable trend, considering growing up they were actually pretty gross. This fall, however, a cute, light-weight jacket is a necessity (it was 40 degrees two weeks ago and now 60?) and the army trend has definitely beaten out jean jackets in my book this year. The cool thing is that army jackets aren't even all only green anymore (purple? blue? printed?), and with a ton to choose from, you can't go wrong. That said, these are some of my fav jackets online.

The Need-To-Buy List:

1. Topshop Patch Army Jacket - $110

The A-Girl-Can-Dream List:

1. Anthropologie Still Life Army Jacket - $388
2. Veda Jones Canvas & Leather Cargo Trench Coat - $590

Need I say more than leather trench coats? Though I definitely don't need to, I can: bright jumpsuits, lacy dresses, embroidered bodices, and ultra-feminine cuts. Valentino always impresses, creating some of the best designs of each seasons, but this Fall collection is definitely my favorite this year. It combines mature masculinity with youthful femininity to show-off curves, power, and embrace inner youth. I definitely look forward to finding ways to incorporate maxis into my winter wardrobe - and sparkle! I will mark being successful as the day I can afford a beautiful leather trench.

What to Wear: Pumpkin Carving or Apple Picking

As fall seems to be parting with us quickly after its short visit, we must soak the weather up now when we can and enjoy those classic autumn activities we so cherish in New England. Though I didn't make it out apple picking this year, I'm happy to say that I am definitely getting a pumpkin this weekend and am actually looking forward more walking around the farm to the choosing of the pumpkin, than the carving of it. I want my clothing to be warm, functional, and festive, but better-yet: fall-fabulous.

1. ASOS Sweatshirt with Ghost Print - $44
2. Frye Sabrina 6g Lace Up - $248
3. Free People Printed Cord Skinny - $78
4. ASOS Ribbon Mixed Knit Snood - $44
5. Free People Knit Hooded Twill Jacket - $168
6. Urban Outfitters Furry Leather Fingerless Gloves - $29

Personally, I've been super stoked about these Sabrina Lace Up Fryes for fall since I saw them recently - they have a heel to set them apart from the countless (and amazing) Timbs I have, yet a rubber bottom to be practical in Vermont fall through spring.

What's your wishlist fall necessity?

A Trip to Montreal

Montreal was beautiful with October foliage, our hotel room was amazing, my first gin & tonic at a bar was delicious, and I only wish we had had more time to wander the city! One day is definitely not long enough to explore Montreal, but the short time we had there was wonderful.

Being the forth most popular dog in the United States, the Golden Retriever is common to find walking on the street - and for good reason. The canine's reliability, kindness, loyalty and happiness gives it the All-American, L.L. Bean title. Not only do Golden owners find that their pets are easy to train and impossible to disappoint, but somewhere along the way they become Golden Retriever owners forever. The Goldens' attitude and reputation undeniably honor them the Tommy Hilfiger title. Creating lifetime consumers with their preppy, American, and simple demeanor Golden Retrievers have found their designer soul mate.
