Admittedly I am totally more excited for spring styles than fall in light of Paris Fashion Week and in wake of NYFW, MFW, and LFW; however, we must bring our heads back to the season we are actually entering. Scouring Fall 2012 RTW collections, Proenza Schouler sparked my interest with this '90s-meets-the-East collection. Jack McCollough and Lazaro Hernandez's Himalayan vacation clearly inspired the protective shapes and crisp design of the pieces. Their journey takes us through casual cotton miniskirts and over-sized tops to samurai fighter-esque quilted biker jackets and leather to formal and delicately silk pieces embroidered landscapes, peacocks, and pheasants and obi belts. Personally, I am now obsessed with quilted fabric and over-sized sweaters with miniskirts (probably paired with some sweater tights) this fall.
What inspiration do you take from Proenza Schouler's collection into this fall?
